Man charged in dog-bite case

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) — A little boy in Campbell is recovering after being bit by a pit bull.

It happened Sunday afternoon in the 800 block of Devitt.

Police said a man was taking care of the dog, but it did not belong to him. He did not have it on a leash.

The dog then bit an eight-year-old on the leg.

Neighbors said the dog’s owner always keeps the dog in a cage or on

“I noticed that the dogs are never loose. The dogs are always contained in cages inside and outside they have a cage,” said neighbor Joe Rizi.

The man who was watching the dog was charged with a misdemeanor and will be in court this week. He was cooperative with police.

The boy’s injury was described as a deep puncture wound.
