CORTLAND, Ohio (WYTV) – A Cortland woman is leading an effort to drum up support for local police departments.
Lori Lauckhart and Camo Studio is having signs made so that people can put them in their front yard. The signs are double sided and cost $7. The signs also come with stakes to put in the ground.
Laukhart said she got the idea after hearing about the police officers killed in New York last month.
“I feel it is important that the community supports their police. I mean, they go out there and put their lives on the line and I don’t know what situation they are walking into every single day,” Laukhart said.
Any money made on the signs will go to the Bazetta and Cortland police departments. Laukhart plans to place the order for the signs Jan. 12.
