LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – It was a banner year for the home-built Chevrolet Cruze.
General Motors released its yearly numbers Monday, showing it sold just over 273,000 models of the Lordstown-made car in the past 12 months. That’s a 10- percent increase in sales from 2013, making the Cruze once again Chevrolet’s bestselling car model.
The numbers at the end of the year did start to slip and down 22-percent from sales in November, and 2-percent from the December 2013.
Overall, .the total U.S. Chevrolet sales for the year were above two million for the first time since 2007.
