Girard Wok set to reopen

A Girard, Ohio restaurant was shut down after a routine fire inspection.

GIRARD, Ohio (WYTV) – The Girard Wok is set to open Tuesday after complying with all safety standards outlined during an inspection earlier this month that shut the restaurant down.

Updates to a fire suppression system were made and grease buildup in the hood and duct work in the kitchen were cleaned out.

Girard Fire Safety Inspector Steve Drake ordered the restaurant located on West Liberty closed after a routine inspection where the violations were found.

Drake said the fire department recently re-instituted yearly commercial checks of fire suppression systems.
