Man grazed by bullet on south side

A man was hit by gunfire in Youngstown, Ohio.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Youngstown police say a man was grazed by a bullet in a shooting early Monday morning.

Officers were called about 1 a.m. to the 800 block of Palmer Avenue on the city’s south side on reports of gunshots.

Police say Deandre Fant was hit by the gunfire in his hand and there appeared to be blood coming from his shoulder area. His injuries are non-life threatening.

Another male, a female and two children were in the house when the shooting took place. They said they awakened to gunfire coming through a south bedroom wall.

There were multiple bullet holes found in the house.

Multiple calls were placed from the area reporting the gunfire.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
