YCS girls’ fly by Mathews

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Youngstown Christian girls’ basketball team led Mathews at the end of the first quarter by eight (19-11). The Lady Eagles went onto defeat the Mustangs by that same number, 62-54.

Destinee Snyder led the way with 19 points while Imane Snyder added 15 and Arlivian Cheirs had 8.

Mathews’ Maddie Williams finished with game-high honors in points scored with 27. Morgan Williams registered 10 points.

The Lady Mustangs will play at Newbury on Thursday. Youngstown Christian will travel to Lake Center Christian on Saturday (2:30 pm).
