Braylon Heard to enter NFL Draft

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (WYTV) – Cardinal Mooney product and Kentucky Running Back Braylon Heard will forego his final college football season and enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

The Nebraska transfer appeared in eleven games last season, making ten starts in his lone season in a Wildcats uniform.

The Youngstown native rushed for 366 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 5.1 yards per carry in 2014.  He also made 21 receptions for 108 yards.

In two seasons with the Cornhuskers under now YSU Head Coach Bo Pelini, Heard rushed for 452 yards, averaging 5.9 yards per carry.

According to the University of Kentucky’s official football website, Heard plans to complete his degree in community and leadership development while preparing for the NFL Draft, which is scheduled for April 30 – May 2.
