BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Ice Zone, a skating rink in Boardman, is facing foreclosure, according to documents filed in U.S. District Court Tuesday.
PNC Bank filed the foreclosure notice against the Ice Zone and its owners.
Bruce Zoldan, who owns the rink along with a partner, told WYTV he hopes that the foreclosure will be resolved to keep the rink open permanently.
The rink remains open for now and will continue to be the practice facility for the Youngstown Phantoms, according to Zoldan.
According to court documents, Zoldan and his business partner have 21 days, not counting the day they received the letter, to respond to the foreclosure notice.
The rink closed temporarily in the summer of 2013.
