YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Youngstown Police found a beige Honda Civic, which they believe belonged to the victim of a homicide, at Calvary Cemetery Wednesday morning.
Police began looking for the car after finding an elderly man dead on Youngstown’s west side early Wednesday morning.
According to Youngstown Police Department Captain Brad Blackburn, police found the man with signs of trauma to the head.
Someone called the Youngstown Police Department around 5 a.m. Wednesday concerned that the front door was open to a house in the 1700 block of Oakwood Avenue. When officers arrived at the house to conduct a welfare check, they discovered the body in the home and noticed his car was missing.
Investigators remain on the scene.
