Boardman rallies past East

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Spartans outscored East in the second half, 36-26, to even their record at 7-7 following tonight’s 57-54 road win.

Gannon Murray tallied a game-high 16 points (5 rebounds, 5 assists) while Brian Fryda and Holden Lipke both scored 10 apiece for Boardman.

Isaiah Nuckles led the Panthers with 14 points and 9 boards. Ce’andre Backus added 9 while Imoni Donadelle poured in 8. East was held to a field goal percentage as a team of 37.3%. They were able to only manage 3 three-point baskets on 16 attempts (18.8%).

East (2-11) will look to end their nine-game losing streak when they play Struthers on Sunday at the Covelli Center. Boardman will match up against Cuyahoga Falls on Tuesday.
