Salem raids turn up heroin and meth

SALEM, Ohio (WYTV) – Two raids in Salem this week turned up heroin and methamphetamine.

On Wednesday, the county drug task force searched a house on South Lincoln Street where they recovered $600, heroin and prescription pills.

The next day, the task force and fire crews dismantled a meth lab in a house on West Pershing Street.

No one has been arrested in either case while tests are done.

The raids come at a time when authorities say they are seeing an increase in drug activity across Columbiana County.
