Drug arrests made at Campbell house; underweight dogs found

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) – Campbell Police arrested several people on drug charges Tuesday morning and found two underweight dogs in the process, according to authorities.

Police went to a house on Tremble Ave. shortly before noon Tuesday to serve arrest warrants for residents wanted on drug charges. When police arrived at the house, they found two dogs at the property. One was chained up outside, another in an unheated garage. Both dogs were malnourished and without water, according to police.

Police arrested several people at the house and turned over the dogs to Animal Charities and will be evaluated by a veterinarian, according to authorities.

Charges were not immediately filed in connection with the seized dogs.

The arrest warrants were the product of an investigation of several months, done in cooperation with the Mahoning Valley Task Force, according to police.
