Burglars make coffee, feed dog bologna

NEWTON FALLS, OHIO (WYTV) – Police in Newton Falls are investigating a bizarre burglary case.

According to a police report, Richard Nisely and his wife were picked up by police Monday for an outstanding warrant.

Nisely said he secured the doors to his Mahoning Court apartment before the couple left with police, but when he returned he found the front door open and the whole apartment had been ransacked.

Whoever broke into the house took several items, including cash, medication, a PlayStation, DVD player and 50 movies.

The suspect or suspects also made a pot of coffee and fed the homeowner’s dog bologna.

Nisely told police he thinks he knows who broke into the home, but could not substantiate the claim, according to the report.
