LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Chevrolet Cruze had a record-setting sales month in January.
General Motors delivered nearly 18,700 Lordstown-built Cruze models last month. That’s compared to an old record of over 16,000 sold in January of 2014.
Over 1 million Cruzes have been built since its 2010 launch.
The Cruze ranked at number three as a GM top seller last month, coming in after first-place Silverado pickup and the Equinox.
General Motors delivered a total of 202,786 vehicles last month. Total sales were up 18 percent compared to a year ago. Retail sales were up 14 percent and fleet deliveries were up 32 percent.
