Hickory girls roll on Senior night

HERMITAGE, Pennsylvania (WYTV) – Three of the four seniors scored 20 or more points to lead Hickory to an 83-31 victory over Titusville Thursday night. The victory assures the Hornets of at least a share of the Region 5 Class AAA title.

Brandi Beader led the way with 24 points,including four triples. She also added 5 rebounds, 7 steals, 2 assists.

Nicole LaCava and Megan Chess each tallied 20 points in the win. LaCava added 11 rebounds, while Chess racked up 6 assists. Fellow Senior Cali Free chipped in with 4 points in the win for the Hornets.

Beader, LaCava and Chess have gone 89-10 over the last four years, and 46-1 in the last two.

The win was the 299th victory for Head Coach Jeanette Whitehead.

Hickory improves to 19-0 overall and 8-0 in league play. The Hornets have won a Mercer County record 46 straight regular season games.
