Both sides rest case in Regan Jelks trial

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Closing arguments are expected to begin Thursday morning in Warren for a woman who is charged with manslaughter in the death of her boyfriend, even though she wasn’t the one who killed him.

Both sides rested their case Wednesday afternoon in the trial of Regan Jelks. Jelks is on trial because state law allows her to be prosecuted for Taemar Walker’s death, as he was in the act of committing a felony.

Jelks and Walker got into an accident on Risher Road in October 2013. Officer Michael Krafcik was called to the scene, where he shot and killed Walker, who he said was reaching for a gun.
