WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – The sun is shining on Trumbull County’s electric bill thanks to solar panels that were installed in 2011.
Commissioners said they have saved more than $41,000 since the 230 solar panels were placed on top of the Jobs and Family Services building in downtown Warren. They were paid for with federal grants.
Besides cutting down on greenhouse emissions, commissioners said the panels are helping save more money than they thought. Because of that, they are looking at possibly adding solar panels to other buildings the county owns.
