Ursuline edges Harding in thriller

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Mark Hughes scored the go-ahead layup off an offensive rebound with under thirty seconds left in a 72-71 win over Warren Harding Tuesday night.  The Irish snapped a seven-game losing streak in the head-to-head series.

Hughes finished with a game-high 32 points in the victory.  Greg Parella added 14 points and 7 rebounds for the Irish, while David Collins finished with 11.

Gabe Simpson led the Raiders with 24 points.  Shakem Johnson tallied 14, while Shondell Jackson finished with 11 points in the loss.

Ursuline improves to 16-5 on the season.  The Irish return to action Saturday at East.

Harding drops to 16-4 on the season.
