Vacant Youngstown homes incinerated; no investigation pending

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two vacant houses on the 400-block of Sherwood Avenue were burned to the ground.

Youngstown Firefighters arrived to the scene around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Youngstown Fie Department Firefighters said the city was going to tear down these homes, along with three other neighboring homes.

The fire captain on the scene said he doesn’t doubt that someone started the fire, but since the houses were going to be knocked down anyway, there will be no investigation.
