Cortland remains under a boil advisory

CORTLAND, Ohio — The city of Cortland remains under a boil advisory after a waterline was broken Friday.

It happened along Russell Avenue.

Crews repaired the line but not before the break emptied the city’s water tank.

There is no evidence of contamination, but the EPA mandates a boil advisory when pressure falls below 20 pounds per square inch.

Residents are urged to boil water that is going to be consumed for three minutes.
