EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WYTV) – Three East Palestine residents are staying with relatives Monday after a weekend fire forced them from their home.

Officials say Dustin Foley noticed the fire coming from the attic of his house on East Main Street around midnight Saturday.

He grabbed his two kids, and all three escaped safely.

The East Palestine Fire Department responded to the fire, according to the Lisbon Morning Journal. East Palestine Assistant Fire Chief Tim Griffith used to live in the home, as did his grandparents, according to the Journal.
