Area athletes sign letters of intent

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – It was a big day for some of the area’s best Track and Field athletes.

Girard senior Caitlyn Trebella signed her National Letter of Intent to compete at Youngstown State next year. Trebella finished 8th in State in Pole Vault last year… and 9th in the 4 by 200 Relay down in Columbus.

She wasn’t the only athlete to pick the Penguins.  Poland senior Nicolette Kreatsoulas signed with YSU as well.  She is a thrower and finished 2nd in the State last year in the Division Two Discus… with a toss of 127 feet 10 inches.
Brookfield’s Delaney Saxton, has committed to play college volleyball at Westminster Titan’s. Delaney has played Junior Olympic Volleyball for six years, has been named to the District One 1st Team from 2012-2104, and to the District One 2ndTeam in 2011.  She has broken Brookfield High School’s “Kills Recorded in a Match” with 43. She finished her career at Brookfield with 1,257 kills. She was named First-Team All American Conference, and 3rd Team All Ohio.

Fitch Senior Pole Vaulter, Dylan Latone has also signed with Youngstown State, while Poland Sofball standout Ally Deemer will continue her playing career at Lake Erie College after signing her letter of intent.
