Bokesch powers Ursuline to win

Struthers, OH (WYTV) – Ursuline’s Brice Bokesch hit an RBI double in the bottom of the 7th inning to help Ursuline win, 4-3 over Heartland Christian Tuesday at Cene Park.

The Irish took the lead in the bottom of the 4th inning, as Drew Potesta drove in Joel Hake for the game’s first run.The Lions came back in the top of the 6th, with a hit by Ben Burgess through the gap in right to scores Phil Bell. That tied the game at one, and later in the inning, Joel Sirota would later bring home two more runs to give Heartland a 3-1 lead.

Ursuline tied the game later in the 6th inning, and  in the bottom of the 7th, Brice Bokesch delivered the knockout blow, blasting an RBI double to right to score Vito Petrillo for the game winner.

Senior Joel Hake served relief for the Irish in the 7th inning and came away with the win. Drew Potesta had two hits for Ursuline, while Nathan Sommers led Heartland with two RBI’s on the night.
