VIENNA, Ohio (WYTV) – Parish representatives and Catholic leaders broke ground on a new church in Vienna on Monday morning.
St. Vincent de Paul Church in Vienna and St. Bernadette Church in Masury merged in 2010 to form St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. The new church will be built just behind the existing St. Thomas the Apostle church on Warren-Sharon Road.
Parishioners have raised more than $1 million over the last four years to support the building project. The new church will feature stained glass windows and fixtures from both St. Vincent de Paul and St. Bernadette.
