Covelli Centre enjoys strong first quarter

Covelli Centre

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – It was another strong quarter for Youngstown’s Covelli Centre, as figures released Tuesday¬†morning show the arena earned a surplus of more than $261,000 for the first three months of 2015.

That’s about $30,000 better than budget projections had been for the period.

Managers credit a very busy schedule during those three months, including sell-out shows for country star Brad Paisley and the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

The city’s coffers also benefited, bringing in more than $82,000 on the tax collected on each ticket sold at the arena.
