Warren teacher on leave, facing drug charges


WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Warren G. Harding High School home economics teacher is on paid administrative leave because of drug possession charges.

According to the Tribune Chronicle, Tracy Gogel, 46, of Cuyahoga Falls, was placed on home assignment after she was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The Ohio Department of Education is also investigating the case.

Gogel has been employed with the district since October 2007.

Gogel’s personnel file displayed continual positive scores during her teacher evaluations. In one she was commended for displaying “genuine caring and respect for her students,” the newspaper reported.
