YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Boardman man accused of raping two young female relatives over a decade ago was indicted Thursday by a Mahoning County grand jury on two counts of rape that could land him in prison for the rest of his life.
William Toth, 44, was arrested at an Ellsworth Road house in Berlin Township on April 23 by members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force and was taken to the Mahoning County Jail, where he remains on a $1 million bond.
Toth is accused of raping a relative in 2001 when the girl was 9 years old. She recently told police about the incident, saying she was too scared to come forward earlier.
Another child, who was 6 at the time, also has accused Toth of rape.
The allegations were reported to police through Mahoning County Children’s Services.
