SALEM, Ohio (WYTV) – The replacement of railroad tracks in Columbiana County could cause delays for drivers.
Norfolk Southern workers are replacing a stretch of track in Salem at South Lincoln Avenue.
The road could be closed for 15 minute intervals as a rail car comes through and drops rail beginning at the Ellsworth Avenue crossing, continuing to Mullins, Newgarden and West Wilson.
A flagger will be stationed at the crossing to alert drivers.
The project should be finished by the end of May.
A similar project to replace track on the southern end of the city was done last year.
