Campbell teacher charged with sexual battery

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Mahoning County Grand Jury has indicted a former Campbell Memorial High School teacher, charging her with sexual battery, among other charges.

According to a grand jury report released Thursday, a grand jury has charged Shannon Pavlansky-Wojtowicz with five counts of sexual battery, five counts of using a minor in nudity-oriented material, and two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles.

In February, police arrested and charged the 30-year-old with having an inappropriate physical relationship with a high school student.

At a hearing after her arrest in February, a judge ordered her to not have any contact with school officials, employees, or students, which is something that Campbell Law Director Brian Macala said was missed when she first appeared in municipal court.

“There was some point brought as to whether or not she may have had contact with a school employee since she was here,” Macala said.
