First Energy substation problem causes power outage

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – More than 10-thousand First Energy customers are without power due to a problem at a substation.

Diane Francis, spokesperson for First Energy, says power went out at 12:40 p.m. after an overload on a main line caused issues at several substations in the area.

According to First Energy, 10,600 customers are currently without power.

First Energy hopes to have all electricity restored by 3:15 p.m.
