EAST PALESTINE, Ohio (WKBN) – Monday’s warm weather provided the perfect backdrop for the grand opening of the new splash pad at the East Palenstine pool.
The project has been months in the making. The area is specifically for babies and smaller children visiting the pool. The East Palestine Community Foundation raised all the money for the project and organizers said a lot of people chipped in to make it happen.
“The East Palestine Community Foundation here in East Palestine, the village and just everybody in the community that made this possible. The kids are really going to enjoy it. It is going to be a great addition to the East Palestine pool,” East Palestine Village Manager Pete Monteleone said.
The entire project cost more than $23,000.
