No jail time for Boardman man, convicted of running over roommate

Max Fitzer charged with Boardman vehicular homicide

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Boardman man will not have to spend time behind bars after pleading guilty to the death of his roommate Friday.

Max Fitzer pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular manslaughter and given a 90-day suspended sentence and one year of probation.

Investigators said Fitzer and Bacher came home late one Friday. Bacher got out of the car, but may have slipped and fallen and got run over.

Fitzer told police he went into the house and realized his friend was not there and went back outside. That is when he found Bacher underneath the car in the garage.
