Police chief spots Liberty fire

LIBERTY, Ohio (WYTV) – A police chief helped a family whose house caught fire in Liberty Monday night.

Liberty’s police chief was driving down Goldie Road around 7 p.m. when he spotted smoke coming from a house.

He called it in and police officers came and knocked on the door to let residents know their house was on fire.

The fire was contained to a second floor bedroom. Damages are estimated at $10,000. No word on how the fire started.
