…During the post-season, Bloom-Carroll has outscored their six opponents by a combined score of 62-2…In their state semifinal matchup with Wheelersburg, Taran Alvelo struck out 11 of the 16 batters she faced and only allowed a single hit in the process and she improved her season mark to 26-2. Kaylee Springer finished her day with a 3 for 3 line with two runs scored. McKenna Coffman belted a homerun as the leadoff hitter closed out her day with three RBIs. Alvelo tied the state record for a softball pitcher with 108 wins (Molly Binz, Kenton Ridge). She’ll go after the record against Champion.

…Champion jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings in their 6-3 state semifinal win over North Union. Outfielder McKenzie Zigmont smacked a solo homerun to begin the game. She finished with three hits. Molly Williams, Alayna Fell, and Haylee Gardiner all had two hits. Gardiner picked up her 17th win of the season (17-2) after hurling 7 innings of 7 hit ball…The Golden Flashes have now won 18 straight.
