BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man from Youngstown’s south side is in jail Friday, accused in the armed holdup last weekend at a Boardman gas station.
Police arrested Jamar Mitchell, 30, Thursday afternoon on aggravated robbery and drug charges.
Boardman Police found him and several others arguing in the parking lot outside the Vibra Hospital on South Avenue, according to a police report. Police recognized him as the suspect in last Sunday’s robbery of the Shell station at Glenwood and Western Reserve and took him into custody, the report states.
Mitchell is scheduled to be in court next week.
Boardman police arrested Mitchell in connection with an armed robbery at the Shell Gas station on Glenwood Avenue and Western Reserve Road.
In the case, police originally reported that a man went into the gas station just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday, showed a gun and demanded cash, making off with an unknown amount of money.
