CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) – Wednesday, police brought a Campbell rape suspect back to Youngstown after he had been in the Baltimore County Jail.

Lashley is being accused of raping, kidnapping and assaulting a woman in Campbell .

Campbell Police received a tip from the victim that Lashley was either at his mother’s in Baltimore County or in Kansas, where he has some family. The tip paid off. A U.S. Marshal’s Task Force arrested Lashley at his mother’s house June 4.

According to a Campbell Police report, Lashley tied up the victim with electrical cords and beat her after they got into an argument about his drug use on June 2.

The victim told police Lashley had raped her multiple times through the night of June 2 and into the early morning of June 3, then threatened to burn the house down with her and his three children in it before he fled the home.

The victim then broke free and ran to her neighbor’s house for help.

Lashley is expected to appear in Campbell City Court Friday.
