GIRARD, Ohio (WYTV) – Girard Police are investigating a possible case of animal cruelty after a woman found her dog hanging over the banister of her back porch.
Kerry Reid says it happened sometime between when she left for work at 8 a.m. Tuesday and when her daughter called her a little after 10 a.m. That is when the dog, named Lucky, was found.
Reid says she thinks someone went onto the porch of her home on Trumbull Avenue and hoisted the dog over the banister because when she came home the back gate was open.
Her other dog, AK, died about two weeks ago. At first, she thought AK’s death was from natural causes, but now she’s not so sure.
Reid is asking anyone who might know anything to call Girard police.
