Youngstown man facing assault charges after woman knocked unconscious

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown man is facing felonious assault charges after police say he knocked a woman he knows unconscious in a Warren apartment.

Police were called to St. Joesph Health Center in Warren on June 24 after they were alerted my medical staff that a patient there said she had been assaulted.

The victim said she drove to Youngstown to pick up Willie James Hill, 54, and brought him to her Warren apartment.

She said some time during the night the two argued and James hit her in the head, knocking her unconscious.

Hill was arraigned Wednesday in Warren Municipal Court where bond was set at $7,500. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 9.
