Rico Resper and Devin Gilmore indicted on burglary charges

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two Grove City men were indicted Thursday on numerous charges stemming from several burglaries May 28 in Poland Township.

Rico Maurice Resper, 22, is facing two counts of aggravated burglary and one count each of receiving stolen property and failure to comply. Devin L. Gilmore, 23, is facing two counts each of burglary and theft, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Both remain at the Mahoning County Jail after failing to post bond following their arrests on May 28.

A juvenile also was arrested and taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.

Poland Township Police Chief Brian Goodin said the three broke into two houses and a car and took several items, including a white princess piggy bank. Police reported the suspects sped along Route 170 and ran through a number of backyards before being stopped.

The suspects had a stolen flat-screen TV in their car, along with cash, credit cards and a gun stolen from a home in Mercer County, according to police, who said the burglaries happened while the homeowners slept.

The homes were on Valiant and Thunderbird Drives and Lee Lynn Court in Poland Township.
