NILES, Ohio (WYTV) – Cleveland Indians’ Pitchers Josh Tomlin and Nick Hagadone each made a rehab appearance for the Mahoning Valley Scrappers Wednesday night against Auburn at Eastwood Field.
Tomlin allowed 3 earned runs on 3 hits with 3 strikeouts in 3 1/3 innings of work. Tomlin is working his way back from preseason shoulder surgery.
Hagadone made a total of just four pitches before he left with left elbow discomfort. He was previously placed on the 15-day disabled list last week with lower back discomfort.
Auburn topped Mahoning Valley 11-3. The Scrappers drop to 8-16 on the season, while the Doubledays improve to 10-13.
