Worker falls while working on YSU stadium

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A construction worker fell while working on Stambaugh Stadium at Youngstown State University Thursday afternoon.

YSU police said the worker, a 31-year-old man, fell and sustained head injuries while working with a crew on the bleachers at the stadium around 12:30 p.m., according to a university news release.

Police said the man, who works for Advanced Restoration Contractors, based in Indianapolis, Ind., was walking between rows of concrete bleachers near the top of the stadium when he fell. Co-workers came to his aid and called 911, police said.

The man was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. His condition is unknown.
