PETERSBURG, Ohio (WYTV) – A big event is going on this weekend in Petersburg.
You can listen to some bands, let the kids bounce around, camp out and see a spectacular firework show.
Every penny will go to The Niki Feezle Explosion of Hope Foundation, which helps families with children fighting Cystic Fibrosis.
The foundation is dedicated to the late Niki Feezle, who passed away at age 24 from the disease.
The foundation was created in her memory, but this event is all about raising hope for those suffering now.
“Our mission is to eventually help find a cure for cystic fibrosis, which, it’s actually in the horizon,” Niki Feezle Explosion of Hope Foundation Vice President Jason Pancake said. “But until that day occurs, families that are struggling, financially. And to bring some light and hope into their lives.”
The event is at Buffalo Hollow in Petersburg.
Gates opened around noon for Friday’s celebrations, which continue through Saturday night.
