Warm temps mean heading outdoors

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – After a very wet beginning to the summer of 2015, Mahoning Valley residents took to beaches, boats and golf courses to enjoy a warm summer day on Sunday. The high at the Youngstown Warren Regional Airport weather station was 86.

There was heavy rain and thunder around during the afternoon though. Swimmers at the Lake Milton State Park beach headed for their cars when rain started falling heavily at around 2:30. There was a storm warning issued for Mercer County earlier, but no damage has been reported to WKBN or to the National Weather Service from today’s weather activity. The airport got just a trace of rain Sunday.
