CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – Here’s one less traffic headache! That portion of Raccoon Road closed just north of Route 224 will reopen during the day Monday, according to ODOT.
The roadway has been closed for two weeks as part of the bridge and road improvement project at the Route 11 and 224 interchange. The road was widened. That entire project is worth $6.5-million.
The timing is good too. With the Canfield Fair starting in just over three weeks, Raccoon Road is used as an express route to the rear parking lots for the fairgrounds off of Leffingwell Road.
The construction crew also widened the other Raccoon Road approach to Route 224 earlier this summer. They plan to widen the Route 11 southbound exit ramp with an additional lane.
