EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WYTV) – Teachers in the East Liverpool School District have approved what the union and school board call a “mutual contract resolution” between the two parties. The Morning Journal says there was extensive discussion at the Thursday meeting before the vote was taken.
There are no details, but a union leader says the vote was “overwhelmingly” in favor. The school board votes on Monday.
The East Liverpool Education Association issued a 10-day strike notice last week, but pulled it when the two sides came to a resolution on Tuesday. The first day of classes is Monday.
