Funeral Wednesday for Greenville police officer, son killed in crash


GREENVILLE, Pennsylvania (WYTV) – Family, friends and the community will pay their final respects Wednesday to a Greenville police officer and his son killed in a car crash. 41-year-old Jeremiah Christner and his 17-year-old son Jeremiah Junior died when a truck hit their SUV last Wednesday.

A collection of flowers and other items continues to grow outside the Greenville police station.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. at the Living Word Christian Center in Greenville. A procession will start at the West Salem Volunteer Fire Department between 8:30 and 9. It’ll include local first responders and American Legion riders.
