East Liverpool police find tarantula, snake in vacant house

Tarantula East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio (WYTV) – When renters move out of a house, they sometimes leave things behind. An East Liverpool police officer wasn’t thrilled with what he found inside a rental property on Jackson Street.

After responding to a call about two dogs stuck on the roof, the Morning Journal says Officer Chad Tatgenhorst went inside the mostly-empty house and found a live tarantula and a live snake.

Police got in touch with former resident Nicholas Anderson who says the dogs and creepy, crawly things belonged to his former live-in girlfriend. They could not get in touch with her.

The dogs were taken to the Columbiana County Dog Pound and Adoption Center where they were described as “very thin”. The snake and spider were taken to the¬†Community Animal Clinic in East Liverpool. No word on where they are going next.
