NILES, Ohio (WYTV) – The Eastwood Mall Complex is standing up against bullies. Its staff and local students, educators and community leaders signed an anti-bullying pledge.
Trumbull County Commissioners enacted a resolution Thursday recognizing October as National Bullying Prevention Month.
Members of Grace Fellowship Church’s Kidzworld performed an anti-bullying skit to help send the message home.
“It is about treating others right, maximize your potential and make smart decision,” said Aaron Rae, Grace Fellowship Church Kidzworld. “We just want elementary schools to be a bully-free zone. We want kids to know the right way to act and to respect others and treat others the way they want to be treated.”
The group will also hold an assembly Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. at the Eastwood Mall Complex.
This is the fourth year for the anti-bullying event.
