Fuel spill shuts down road in Lawrence County

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. (WYTV) – A tanker truck traveling through Lawrence County left a trail of fuel on the road.

According to employees at Dairy Farmers of America on Route 18, a truck that was pulling out of the business about 9 p.m. hit something, and then proceeded to leak fuel for about two miles.

The largest spill was at Route 18 and Route 208, and then continued south on Route 18.

The northbound lane of Route 18 was closed for a few hours while Hazmat crews cleaned up the fuel.
