<i>Series History</i>
McDonald is 24-4 since 1990 against Reserve. However, Western Reserve has taken three of their last four matchups with Trumbull County’s Blue Devils.

…Caleb Dimery ran for 127 yards on 18 carries as McDonald edged Reseve 14-12 en route to a perfect regular season. McDonald turned the ball over 4 times but held off a Devil rally to secure the week six victory.

Both programs have been successful as the same can be said of their respective head coaches. Reserve’s Andy Hake has compiled a winning percentage of 84.0% (68-13) in his seven years at the helm. McDonald’s Dan Williams has registered a percentage of 66.7% (112-56) in his sixteen years at his alma mater.

Trailing 22-12 in the third quarter, McDonald outscored Jackson-Milton 20-0 over the games final 20 minutes to hand the Jays’ a 32-22 loss last Friday. Jake Reckard scored twice and gained over 90 yards. Joey Perry ran for 80 yards on 8 carries but his interception return for a score late in the third quarter proved to be the game-winning touchdown. The Blue Devil defense held Joey Burnside and the Jays’ rushing attack to a 2.9 yard per carry average on 39 attempts.

Western Reserve outscored Lowellville 49-0 in the first half enroute to their 56-0 week six win. The Devils accounted for 431 yards of total offense (274 rushing, 157 passing) while the Rockets were only able to gain 3.4 yards from scrimmage on 41 offensive plays. Ed Smith ran the ball only 4 times but accumulated 117 yards (29.3 ypc).
